HISTORY
Founded by Larissa Kolesnikova in 2021, the Malibu Art Collectors Club leads Malibu’s creative community through thoughtful programming with global reach. The club was created to support both artists and collectors, while placing Malibu on the global cultural map as a destination for rigorous artistic dialogue and engagement.
From its start, the club has championed underrepresented voices—particularly immigrant and diaspora artists without gallery support—while also building a space for collectors who are intentional about nurturing local talent. Since 2024, its focus has expanded to include community-based programs, public art, and partnerships with local museums that strengthen Malibu’s role in the broader West Coast art scene.
The club hosts artist talks, panel discussions, art trips, and cultural events that spark innovation, leadership, and meaningful connection between artists, collectors, and institutions. Whether through exhibitions, mentorship, or civic collaborations, the Malibu Art Collectors Club continues to serve as a platform for creativity, conversation, and long-term cultural investment.
